The engine pairs each apprentice with a distinct adult warrior mentor who is not their sibling or parent, matching the canonical Clan apprentice ceremony described in the novels.

Leaders are generated with a dynamic life counter (1 to 9 lives remaining) along with a lore backstory explaining past life losses—such as defending against badgers, surviving greencough, or fallen border battles.
